The Middlesex County Division of Arts and History believes that art and wellness are closely tied together. With help from its partners and affiliates, Middlesex County has given out 100 arts, history, and culture grants in just the past year for workshops, performances, storytellers, and interactive arts.
“Research shows that art helps with the mind and that engaging in the arts improves self-esteem, encourages empowerment, enriches quality of life, and is good for the mind and body. All of those are important for the well-being of our community.”
